Roquetas de Mar is a Spanish municipality in the province of Almería and the autonomous community of Andalusia, SPAIN, capital of the homonymous judicial district, located in the Poniente Almeriense region and 21 kilometers from the provincial capital, Almería. In 2019, it had 96,800 inhabitants and was the second municipality in the province behind the capital. Roquetas de Mar has the largest holiday infrastructure in the entire province, not in vain it receives more than two-thirds of the tourism that visits Almería each year. The activity of Roquetas has always revolved around the sea.
